This Week's Insights🎙️

With the amount of technology encompassing our lives every day, it’s easy to forget that marketing existed long before social media, paid ads, SEO and even websites!

Typically, most founders put 100% of their energy into digital, while ignoring the very channels that built some of the biggest brands in history.

There's no doubt that creating a strong, consistent digital presence can have a profound effect on long-term growth when done correctly, but another way to see it is that when everyone is shouting online, offline moments stand out more than ever, especially in a well-connected, growing place like the UAE.

Creating physical collateral for networking events, trade shows, career fairs, etc., isn’t an outdated tactic. They’re actually opportunities to connect in ways that sometimes digital channels simply cannot replicate.

Especially as Dubai gears up for another busy season of events, it's a great time to get going if you're, or even to visit, as the weather starts to cool down!

Simply put, marketing is about balance. If your funnel relies solely on algorithms, you’re building a fragile system. By adding offline touch-points, you build a sustainable system.

Practical Tips ✅

  1. Attend 1 event per quarter: Commit to showing up at an industry event, expo, or fair, and treat it as seriously as a campaign launch.

  2. Create leave-behinds: Whether it’s a sharp one-pager, business card, or branded gift, give people something tangible that reinforces your message.

  3. Blend online + offline: Don’t isolate your marketing. Promote events online, capture offline leads digitally, and follow up through both channels.
