Thought for the Week
Your CRM should be driving all your conversations. If that's not the case, all you have is an expensive, branded spreadsheet.

This Week's Insights🎙️
Let’s be honest - most businesses treat their CRM like a glorified contact list.
A place where leads go to sit quietly until someone remembers they exist.
The best sales teams, however, do a lot more than that. They use their CRM as a live sales ecosystem - one that connects marketing, automates follow-ups, and reveals what’s working in real time.
If that doesn't occur, the software is not the problem.
Here’s what I often see when I audit CRMs for clients:
Leads are dumped in without qualification.
Stages are vague or inconsistent.
Follow-ups depend on memory, not automation.
Reporting is incomplete because data entry isn’t standardised.
If this sounds all too familiar, you're not alone.
Your CRM should be the single source of truth for your business rather than a digital filing cabinet, so that it's able to tell you:
Which channels bring the most profitable leads.
Where deals are stalling (and why).
What activities actually generate revenue.
If you want to go from managing a busy team to a scalable one, start by setting up and optimising your CRM.
Practical Tips ✅
Map your sales stages clearly: Define each stage of your pipeline with measurable criteria, so everyone knows exactly when a lead moves forward.
Automate follow-ups: Set triggers for reminders, emails, or task assignments. The less you depend on memory, the more consistent your pipeline becomes.
Standardise your data: Create mandatory fields for deal source, lead quality, and next step. Clean data = clean insights.
