This Week's Insights🎙️
AI has transformed the content creation space faster than many people expected. Everyone now has access to powerful tools that write, design, brainstorm, and optimise at a speed no human can match. There is major downside however, to this creation: quality.
As it has become the "new norm" and so accessible to millions around the world, all the content is starting to sound the same. Not to mention, because of this, business are starting to feel more than ever that their reach and engagement is dropping, wondering where it is going wrong despite creating more content faster than before.
What they fail to see is that creating a perfectly optimised AI paragraph with the best prompt doesn't always create the best connection with your ideal customers. Sometimes, it comes from something entirely human driven, which, no matter how much you prompt AI, can never truly recreate and explain your authentic situations in your tone.
It can certainly create the structure, but you should always add your own touch, as you are the only person or thing that can do that.
In reality, AI has levelled the playing field for content creation, creating the shift in differentiation being you humans and their experiences.
So, if your content sounds like it could have been generated in 5 seconds with a prompt on ChatGPT, your audience will probably scroll past it in 1 second. However, if it sounds like you, people will pause, and in marketing, that pause can be the difference between a reader and a new client for your business.
Practical Tips ✅
Lead with lived experience: Start your content with something only you could say from a story, a moment, a lesson or even a mistake. AI can’t replicate that.
Add a “human layer” to AI drafts: Before posting, ask: “Does this sound like me?” Rewrite 10-20% to reintroduce tone, personality, and nuance.
Show your thinking, not just the output: Share process, decisions, ‘why’, and behind-the-scenes reasoning. People don’t follow content, they follow perspective.

Did You Know? 🧠
According to Edelman’s 2024 Trust Barometer, 71% of consumers say they trust people more than brands and content featuring real stories, experiences, and opinions earns significantly higher engagement than generic AI-generated material.
The Content Cycle (in my eyes)
In a world where everyone is publishing AI-generated content, the brands that stand out will be the ones that bring real stories, real perspective, and a real voice. Can they do that using the same cycle, or have things changed?
That's all for this week.
See you next Wednesday!
